Night Cream Set
How long can I leave cream cheese out?
I baked a pastry that had a cream cheese filling last night around 10:30pm. I wrapped it in foil & set it out to cool and fell asleep. I remembered it around 6am this morning. I threw it in the fridge.
Think it’ll be ok to eat after sitting out for 8 hours?
As long as the filling was sweetened. Sugar sustains freshness in baked goods. It should be shelf stable for a few days…no worries!
