Skin Care Ingredients
where to buy natural skin care ingredients?

I need to buy beeswax, floral water, essential oils, etc to make natural skin care by my self. Where can I buy these ingredients at good price?

Herbal stores usually have that kind of stuff. If they don’t have it in stock they can usually order it. You can order on the net too.

You can significantly accelerate finding the skin care products that work best for you by learning to read and understand the ingredients that are found in the products you buy. These ingredients can be lumped into two broad categories, cosmetics and cosmeceuticals. Cosmetics don’t actually change the skin. They are inactive ingredients that are added to help improve the appearance of the skin and add moisture. Cosmeceuticals, on the other hand, are active ingredients and can actually alter your skin in beneficial ways.

One of the more common cosmeceuticals added to skin care products is antioxidants. They neutralize damaging free radical molecules that would otherwise react with your skin cells. Common antioxidant ingredients include Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. Examples of cosmeceuticals that are added which are not necessarily antioxidants include chemical exfoliants, enzymes, pentapeptides, and skin lighteners.

The cosmetic ingredients added to skin care products also serve a purpose. For example, mineral oil, petrolatum, and shea butter are emollients that help keep your skin from drying out by creating a moisture barrier. Other inactive ingredients can include dyes, emulsifiers, fragrance, and occlusives.

Be aware that US law requires manufacturers to list all the ingredients in their products using standard names. The exception is for ingredients that make up less than 1% of the product. The ingredients that are listed will be listed in order of percentage of the ingredient, with the highest being listed first. Many of the more potent ingredients are needed in only small amounts to be effective, thus they will be listed towards the end of the ingredients list.

Taking the time to read and understand the ingredients in your skin care products can play a important role in helping your optimize the look and feel of your skin. With the information available today through the internet, you no longer need to guess what each ingredient may or may not do for you.
