Tanning Paint Tan

Tanning Paint Tan
What color brown wall paint looks tan in yellow light?

I am trying to paint my bathroom a tan color, but the light fixture in there gives off a yellow-ish light. As a result all of my tan paint samples I painted on the walls appear more yellow than tan. What color brown should I use to get a nice tan color despite the yellow lighting? And changing the light fixture is not an option! Thank you for your suggestions!

/ Try a lighter shade of tan. That way, the yellow will blend in.

A darker shade of tan might make the yellow stand out more.

Yellow is a primary color, so mixed with red you get orange, and mixed with blue you get green. You need a lighter secondary color to work with.

Also. try putting up pieces of construction paper under the yellow light, and see if a shade of the color on the paper would help. Sometimes a red/orange mixed with yellow can give a variation of tan.
